Baby Piper

Carver and I made a fast, yet fun road trip yesterday to Kansas City!! One of my best friends Audrey, finally had her little princess! Piper Elizabeth was born at 10:37 pm and was 7 lbs, 6 oz, 18 in. Audrey and I have been friends for a very long time and been through so much together. Getting to see her become a mom was one of the most wonderful things I can imagine for her. She was glowing yesterday and so incredibly happy! Her husband Josh is fantastic and they are just going to be the most wonderful parents to Piper. To see one of my best friends so happy is the best feeling in the world...boyfriends came and went for both of us, long distance phone calls with tears often happened, road trips to visit each other in college and time spent together back in our hometown of Dighton was always fun! I look back on our friendship and I treasure memories more now then I ever did before. Not just with Audrey but with the girlfriends I have been friends with as long or even longer. I wish all my friends happiness, smiles for the rest of their life and love to always keep them smiling. Good friends are hard to come by and I feel so very blessed and lucky to know who my true friends are! I wish all the best to the Raines family and I can't wait to watch Piper grow up into a little lady in the years to come! I also get to spoil here and there is nothing Audrey can do about it :-)

I Get So Far Behind...

I know I say this every time but I can't believe I haven't wrote since December!!! I am going to try so hard to at least blog once a week lol I think I can do it! Well it is now March 2010!!! So far 2010 is going great for The Ostmeyers! We are both blessed with each other, amazing jobs that we both love so much, family who is healthy and great friends. Spring is upon us and I am so very ready for nice, beautiful warm weather. Ready to see the green grass, trees and flowers in bloom and the warm sun. I miss the lake, BBQ's, and sitting on the patio with a cold class of Pinot Grigio. I think the rest of Kansas feels the same way I do!! Carver and I are planning a few Vacations this summer and we are both so excited for them to get here! In May/June we will be heading to Florida with his family. Family vacations are always so much fun and we just have the best time! Disney World and a beautiful Resort is what we have to look forward to. Oh I wish it was not 2 months away....Hurry Up Summer!! There is so much going on this Summer and I am anxious for it to get here! Carver and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of one of our best friends babies! She is due any day now and I can hardly stand it!!! We will be in a car headed to KC as soon as I get the call. Miss Piper will be spoiled by Aunt Cherina and I can't wait to welcome her into the world. Carver and I are so happy for Audrey and Josh and just can't wait to see them all very soon. Well so far 2010 is not just going great for us but friends and family of ours is happy and healthy!
